A game changer

It’s a cliche to say that an app changed you life, but in this case Unibox did — actually more like it restored to me hour of my life. I have some old email accounts that I have to keep for busines purposes but that are the target of spam & despite spam assassin & other software, spam gets through… to the tune of several emails a day. With Unibox, I find that I am spending much much less time going through & sort the wheat from the chaff.

The gravatars on the list are very helpful too… it’s a great visual queue from important people. And, of course, having all a person’s messages grouped makes it a lot easier to make sure you attend to the important ones.

I’ve also found their tech support to be very very quick, courteous & thorough.

Is it perfect? No. I’d like multiple windows. It’s like font support. I’d like to have my messages cleared regularly on a schedule from the server like Apple Mail does rather than on the trash & only when I empty the trash. But from my experience with the Unibox team so far, I expect to see these changes in upcoming versions.

It’s hard to lay down cold hard cash for an email client, but in this case it was well worth it to me. And they give you a nice 30 day trial so you can see if it works for you.

Oh, also, set up for multiple emails accounts on multiple servers was a snap & the iPhone app rocks as well. Well worth downloading & giving it a try if you have emal frustrations.
